The Christian life is one of continuous growth and maturation in “putting on” a new self, created in the likeness of God. The primary means we have for furthering this process is regular participation in worship; the community gathers to encounter the Word of God in scripture, preaching, prayer and sacrament, and this habit gradually re-forms the whole of life.

We supplement this core formation with a variety of classes and small-group experiences. Recent adult education offerings by the clergy include a nine-month catechetical program for adults, Life of Grace, regular book discussions on topics related to Bible, theology, spirituality, and history, and an introduction to the thought and practice of the Episcopal Church, Episcopal 101.

In addition, the vestry and other leadership teams in the parish are intentional learning communities, conducting the church’s business in an environment that supports their individual and collective development.
