Interfaith Food Pantry

St. John’s is part of an interfaith collaborative — working together with St. Vincent de Paul Church, Elim Lutheran Church, Congregation B’nai Israel, and the Islamic Center of Petaluma — to ensure that the Interfaith Food Pantry takes place every Thursday in Petaluma to distribute free food to families in need.

On the second Thursday of each month, St. John’s volunteers meet at 4:30 pm to set up tables of food at Elim Lutheran Church, 504 Baker St. Your help is greatly appreciated!  Also, spread the word if you know someone in need of food, or possibly come load up a bag to bring to him/her.  To learn more about how you can participate, contact Janet Knudsen.

We let our guests/clients CHOOSE what food they wish to take for their families from tables laden with fresh produce, perishables (meat, eggs, dairy, dry goods and baked goods, by asking if they’d like an item. We do not box up food for handout.
